Why Did I Shoot a Hollow Tree?
It wasn’t the plan that is for sure.
I had some ideas for photos when I went to this location; this image wasn’t one of them. I knew about the tree, I’d seen it many times, but I guess what stood out today was the rim of snow on the edges of the remaining truck. It makes the hollowness of the tree trunk obvious. Especially with the dark hemlocks as a background.
The other reason is the other photos I took did nothing for me. I wouldn’t say I liked how they came out. So there are the reasons I took this image.
It was a good day for a walk, Caden got some exercise and playtime in the snow and the chain of continuous days taking an image and posting it on the website remains intact.
Day 29 of 365 is in the books – almost a month straight!
