Day 1 of the 365 Project
Why Did I Take This Image of a Mushroom?
Mushrooms are one of my favorite woodland photographic subjects, but they are few and far between this time of the year. So when I saw this one I knew I had to get a photo of it for the 365-Project.
There is nothing special about this mushroom, but I decided to include it in the project because of the time of the year. I liked the leaf next to the mushroom and how it was settled in the green moss. It was up on a fallen log and elevated so the background is quite far away. This is why it is blurred even though the focal length was set to f/8.0.
Who knows when I will come across more as it might snow any day now. That is the main reason to include it in the project as I can save other subjects for the future.
The photo was taken with my Fujifilm X-S10 with the 16-80mm F/4 lens at 80mm, f/8, ISO 800 at 1/50 second. Focus stack of 11 images.
The first day of the 365 Project is done and complete!
