Day 20 of the 365 Project at Three Falls Woods
Taking Photos at Three Falls Woods Nature Preserve
The photo is only a small part of one waterfall at Three Falls Woods Nature Preserve. Three Falls Woods is one of the wonderful nature preserves the Central New York Land Trust manages.
With the recent rain water is once again flowing over many of the waterfalls in Central New York State. It has been dry and many creeks and streams have ceased to flow. The stream that feeds Three Falls Woods waterfalls often dries up or runs only at a trickle during the summer. But once the trees and plants stop using groundwater and the fall rains return the photography can become amazing.
I took many photos of the waterfalls today and at some point, I will create an article on the nature preserve and include all of the decent photos I have taken here.
Truthfully, I wish the exposure on the photo above wasn’t as long. The image looked good on the back of the camera but it is too long for my tastes. I’d like more structure in the water than what is shown.
The color of the moss and fallen leaves is nice. When I get more photos edited I will include a link to the gallery here.
Day 20 is in the books! Almost three weeks of daily photos.
